Hey Fella Whiskey Cocktail Recipe

What is in the Hey Fella Whiskey Cocktail?

A few weekends ago, Scott and I decided to come up with some new cocktails and one of our favorites is the “Hey Fella” Whiskey Cocktail. Don’t ask me how we came up with that name – it’s just a quirky thing we picked.

Why are we coming up with new cocktail recipes, especially since we mostly drink wine and beer? Well, every now and then, we do like to mix it up. But it’s a risk – right?  When you order a signature cocktail, you don’t know what it’s going to taste like or if you will even like it.

You will recall a few weeks ago, I shared my Bloody Mary Recipe. I came up with that, because every time we order Bloody Mary’s, there’s something we don’t like about them. So that’s why we decided to come up with our own.

But what’s the point of that?

Believe or not, if you know what the ingredients are, your bartender will make you a custom drink. So that’s why! By sharing these on our blog we can quickly look up the ingredients and share.

In this recipe, I used Grandpa’s Wheat Whiskey from Bad Dog Distillery out of Arlington.  I went to high school with the owner and master distiller, Dave McGlothern. Scott and I had a great time checking out their tasting room last Fall and trying all of their amazing whiskeys!
